Important Laptop Packaging Requirements

If you prefer to have a prepaid insured UPS shipping label emailed to you instead of receiving a protective Safe-Ship laptop box, it is very important that you follow proper packaging procedures to ensure your laptop will be safe during transit.

If you follow these instructions, your laptop will arrive to us safe and sound. Once we receive your laptop we will contact you within 24 hours with your free* full system diagnostic and price quote!

Laptop Packaging Instructions

All required packing materials can be easily obtained from any shipping center, such as the UPS Store.

1. It is essential the laptop be completely wrapped in at least 3 to 4 inches of protective material on all sides, such as heavy bubble wrap or foam. Secure this material firmly around the laptop using packing tape. While packing peanuts can also be used, they in themselves are not adequate protection.

2. Insert your laptop into a heavy duty shipping box, or for extra protection double up two boxes. Make sure you fill any empty space inside the box with additional padding, such as packing peanuts or bubble wrap. This is important because it will prevent the laptop from shifting during shipping.

3. Make sure to also include your laptop power cord (also wrapped) and the packing slip (sent via email).

4. Seal the box securely with heavy duty packing tape on all sides and then attach the prepaid shipping label also using packing tape.

And with that your laptop should be fully protected during its journey!

Note: All of our prepaid shipping labels include shipping insurance, however this may not cover damage caused by improper packaging.
